In spite of the gray skys outside my door, it's a wonderful morning as I sit here having leftover mexican food for breakfast (I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD...REAL MEXICAN FOOD!! and I am lucky to have Tequila's in town) along with my cup of coffee. Yum!!!...lol. I know many of your stomach's must be rolling.

A good night's sleep is a prescious commodity. And I revel in the fact I was able to sleep in til 8:30-ish this morning. I read somewhere that lack of sleep leads to increased appetite as we try to eat to compensate for the fatigue. I can believe that based on what I ate yesterday and the 4 hours of sleep I had the night before.

The question is how to more efficiently take care of "life" in the few "non working" hours one has? I get up at 4 a.m. on work days, leave at 5 a.m. to arrive a few minutes before 6 a.m I work til 6 p.m. (if I get off in time). If no errands, I get home around 7 p.m., with errands...*shrug*, could be as late as 9:30 p.m. So if I work the next day, see where my lack of sleep comes in?

When and if I ever revert to an 8 - 5 or 9 - 5 day, I'm sure I'll feel completely decadent...to a point. My standard schedule is (3) 12 hour shifts a week. Ok, I rarely stick to it, usually adding a fourth day whether teaching, OT at my primary employer, or working an EMT shift at a local firehouse. So I guess it's my fault...lol. But I love the flexibility of my schedule (2 plus weeks at Pennsic, no problem...I gave them plenty of notice. I don't get paid for it, but with knowing in advance, I can pace myself on working OT to cover for those two weeks...that is if my pay isn't messed up, but that's another story).

So I contemplate the day ahead of me...paperwork and bills to take care of, drycleaning to pick up, laundry to fold (I have no washer/dryer so I do laundry at work...had to leave before it was all dry yesterday so it's hanging on the second floor rail...can any say "Green Acres"?), baldrics to sew (Shire is creating Regalia Stock), dinner menu to create and shop for, take son to Piano, cook dinner...oh, and put the finishing touches on my Pennsic Report that is due.

Yea, yea...I'll get started...lol. Just one more sip of coffee....
