A native Californian still trying to fit in on the East Coast even after 23 years of living here, Eclectic, independent, simple yet complicated, modern yet in love with days of old; a study of opposites at times. But hey, I'm a Gemini, a former corporate employee, a former paralegal and a part time EMT and "full time" paramedic; a mother, a friend, a lover.

I work to live, I don't live to work.

I'm learning to slow down while still balancing responsibilities. Sitting on my balcony with a glass of wine, watching the moon shine on the water, and hearing the small waves move through the reeds is a peaceful balm to my sometimes jittery soul.

I write here to clear out my head to impede the insanity that will probably someday catch up with me...lol.

I’ve had many amazing opportunities during my life. I have met people both far and wide, near and next door. I have traveled the world, and yet stayed in the same spot for years. I am the person you recognize, -- the person everyone knows of, but doesn’t really know. I have a knack for blending in with the walls, and I can stick out like a sore thumb. You just never know with me.

By choice, I am an inactive SCAdian; I'm involved in my local historical society, business redevelopment group and volunteer for many things by just offering a helping hand. My neighborhood has become one of my loves.
